POSITION PURPOSE: 

We are seeking a passionate and proactive Community Organizer to join our team. The ideal candidate will foster relationships with partner organizations, schools, local businesses, and property managers to promote our organization’s visibility and services within the community. This role requires strong communication skills, strategic thinking, and a commitment to community engagement.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Community Development, Public Relations, Communications) preferred.
  • Proven experience in community organizing, outreach, or related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with graphic design software preferred.
  • Passion for community development and social impact. Must be proficient with computers, Word, Excel, and other basic office equipment and software.
  • Cross-cultural experience necessary.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong written and communication skills.
  • Provides evidence of spiritual maturity through integrity, humility, self-control, an active prayer life, and dependence on the Lord.
  • Growing relationship with Christ and involvement in a local church.

MENTAL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Operates equipment necessary to perform a job.
  • Stands, walks, reaches above the shoulder, squats, bends, twists, kneels, and climbs throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to lift, push, and carry various items up to 20 lbs.
