POSITION PURPOSE:
The Maintenance Technician is an essential part of the City on a Hill team, responsible for the overall maintenance of our facilities. This includes the upkeep of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, water, and sewage systems, maintaining boiler operation, preventive maintenance records, and inventory control. This role extends beyond facility care; it is integral to our mission of creating a transformational community committed to restoring hope, enhancing quality of life, and advancing justice for all generations in a team-centered environment.

REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma
- 2 years of comparable work experience.
- Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks independently.
- Basic knowledge of computer applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Problem solving ability.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude in the following areas: plumbing, electrical, carpentry.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Demonstrated skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with supervisor and fellow employees.
- Preferred: Active in a local church with growing relationship with Christ and evidence of spiritual maturity, including integrity, humility and self-discipline.
MENTAL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Stamina is needed for physical activity, including lifting and carrying items, standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting, climbing, and reaching. The work environment can vary in temperature (may range from -20 to 120 F) and the ability to operate various equipment.
- Lifts, carries and/or pushes/pulls various items (bags, boxes, carts, etc.) while utilizing proper technique.
- The atmosphere in work area may contain dust/dirt, odors and fumes.
- Must have a valid Wisconsin driver’s license with a clean record.
- Must be able to stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, climb, and reach above shoulders

- Lift up to 15 lbs. from floor to overhead.
- Lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to chest-level.
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. at waist height, a reasonable distance.
