Rooted in our Christ-centered model of service, City on a Hill provides programs and experiences that strengthen faith, provide avenues for spiritual growth, and mobilize people to put their own faith into action for the greater good. We bring together people from all walks of life with people of faith to awaken a shift in awareness and perspective that leads to transformative action.
People from all ages are able to experience God’s love and compassion and grow in understanding faith-filled lessons for life through a variety of ways to overcome challenging situations. Our approach is informed by research and practice showing that faith, spirituality, and religion strengthen relational bonds, build family resilience, and improve mental well-being.
FEATURED SERVICES
J.A.M. & IMPACT
Every Tuesday night from 4:30pm–6:30pm, children and youth from all over Milwaukee’s central city gather to connect with God and each other. After a hot meal and fellowship, participants play games that integrate the message for the night, worship the Lord in song, and receive an age-appropriate message that focuses on deepening their relationship with God. Small groups are key to develop character, leadership, social skills and understanding of biblical principles.
SUPER SATURDAYS
Super Saturdays is an outdoor program City on a Hill offers to hundreds of neighborhood children ages 3-12 each week during the summer from 1 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. that includes a hot meal. Using a nationally developed curriculum that focuses on character development and relationship building, the program provides a full afternoon of fun and learning every week, in addition to positive biblical messages. Puppets, clowns, music, crafts and interactive games, presented by groups of young people from across the nation, make the experiences deeply interactive.
ENCOUNTER
Join Us: We know life can be tough, that’s why we’ve created a space for you to come and connect with Jesus and others at Encounter. Our gatherings take place the 2nd Saturday of each month from 2:30 – 4:00 pm and are designed to equip you to tend to your inner life, walk in emotional health, and stay connected to Jesus in every season. Come and join our grassroots movement led by lovers of Jesus who are passionate about seeking the well-being of Milwaukee. In addition to our monthly gatherings, we also offer small group bible studies held on the last Friday of each month if you’re hungry for more. We’ll provide a meal and thematic discussions to help you grow deeper in your faith.
