DRASTICALLY REDUCING POVERTY WILL TAKE A COLLECTIVE OF CHANGE AGENTS
City on a Hill is a place of transformation. We are able to provide space for multiple organizations and campus community members who are mission aligned to co-locate and help address the complexities of poverty from many different angles.
Our community transformation objective is to build the systems, tools, networks, and support structures that will accelerate the ongoing growth of the Near West Side of Milwaukee through a collaborative network of conscious social change agents and mission aligned organizations operating from our campus.
Our personal transformation objective is to leverage the collective resources and services of these organizations co-locating at City on a Hill to support neighborhood residents as the primary change leaders locally by deepening their sense of power, expanding their sense of self-awareness, developing tools for transforming oppression and suffering, cultivating compassion, and developing the capacity to initiate neighborhood level change responsibly from a place of clarity, commitment and purpose.
